about

‘Steve Jobs Song’, the first single from my debut album, due out this summer, featuring fuzz electric guitars, saxophone, picked acoustic, a stomping Moog bass. The song is reminiscent of the Californian sun, driving down the 101 highway, the Pacific stretched out beneath, like the unknown future and the lost ideals of youth, symbolised by a soaring saxophone solo fade out.

lyrics

The lost cause of the western dream,
coming out the valley,
he took a trip on the crystal sea,
tried to follow the high life.

One shot at the western rose
could have settled the balance
the great fight for the modern idea
it was the battle of his life.

Red lights on, I’m so much older, can’t escape what I’ve become
A beautiful world, how much longer, round the corner of every wall
Walking through your silent kingdom, I don’t see, anyone

I’m walking through your garden of Eden, it was all so precious once.

The lost cause of the western dream,
was the shadow in your mind,
He took a boat on a crystal sea,
Tried to find the high life …
